About Ki
Hi there! My name is Kieara but, I am affectionately called 'Ki' by my clients and friends! I am a Black Woman (capital B), Wife, Boy Mama, Big Sister, Navy Veteran, and a true girls girl!
My professional career started in the United States Navy where I served for 8 years. During that time, I co-facilitated group therapy in a military substance abuse rehabilitation program.
Educationally, I have a BA in Human Services from Columbia College and an MSW (Master of Social Work) from the University of South Florida, with a concentration in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups in agency or organization-based community practice settings.
What makes my practice truly special is the Sistahood, the space for care, understanding, and real connection. My clients often come to me on some of their hardest days, and being able to show what love, support, and genuine understanding look like is what I love most about this work.
As the saying goes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” and that belief guides everything I do. Here, we build strong, healthy therapeutic relationships while also gently guiding you toward healthier ways to cope, express yourself, and grow.
Teaching Practice Commitment
Sistahood & Wellness is proud to be a teaching practice dedicated to the intentional training and mentorship of developing Social Workers. As a culturally responsive and trauma-informed private practice, we serve as a clinical training site for MSW student interns who are gaining hands on experience in therapeutic work.
This practice also provides post-graduate clinical supervision and training for Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns (RCSWIs). All interns are supported through close supervision by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Florida approved Qualified Supervisor, ensuring ethical, high quality client care while fostering clinical competence, confidence, and professional growth. This commitment reflects our belief in collective healing, community investment, and the cultivation of future clinicians.
